Armed with a BA in Math from UC Berkeley, an MAT in Mathematics Education, teaching certification in both California and Arizona, and the prestigious National Board Certification, I possess a robust educational foundation that underpins my expertise.

My journey as an educator has traversed international borders, spanning five years in South Korea, Taiwan, and France, in addition to a notable seven-year tenure at the renowned College Preparatory School, ranked number one in California and fifth in the nation. Serving as the chair of the math department there for two years showcased my leadership and commitment to educational excellence. My deep comprehension of the learning process, coupled with a passion for empowering students to strengthen their mathematical thinking, sets me apart from the rest of the pack.

Since beginning tutoring online in 2021, I have provided more than 2,600 hours of tailored support to students from across the country. In addition to traditional textbook coursework, I have experience working with student-centered problem-based curricula. I help students develop a deep understanding of the concepts. I work with them to develop problem-solving skills along with a growth mindset. I combine direct instruction with collaborative techniques in order to strengthen both understanding and execution.

I provide private tutoring lessons one-on-one or in small groups. I work with students on Zoom, using an iPad Pro to share my notes in real time. And, I share recordings of the sessions with my students so that they can review them as needed. The format is very effective and also quite convenient.

I generally offer two different services:

Office Hours:

I am available for homework help, skill building, review, and instruction, as supplemental to school or independent coursework, both as needed and on a regular basis.

Test Preparation:

I am also available to prepare for standardized exams like the PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP Pre Calculus, and AP Calculus exams. If you are preparing for a standardized exam, please contact me -- chances are I can help you!
